Jackson County, Missouri

Jackson County is located in West Central Missouri. It is named for 7th President Andrew Jackson.
The seat is shared between Independence and Kansas City, while Kansas City is the most populous city. Jackson County has the second largest population in Missouri.

It borders Clay, Ray, Lafayette, Johnson and Cass Counties in Missouri; as well as Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas.
Main highways include I-29, I-35, I-49, I-70, US-24, US-40, US-50 and US-71; among others.
